Author, Veteran, Serial World-Builder
...and man currently being held hostage by his own imagination.
I'm Jon Anderson, the slightly sleep-deprived mind behind The Convergence Cycle: a universe so sprawling it occasionally forgets I'm only one human being.
I built this world because every great story I loved seemed to pick a side: magic or science, prophecy or progress, dragons or dirigibles. I wanted all of it. I wanted a saga where alchemists argue with engineers, dragons share the sky with airships, and wizards glare at steam engines and mutter, "kids these days."
Think of it as if The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Fourth Wing and Jules Verne threw a dinner party, got into a philosophical brawl about the future of humanity, and accidentally birthed a ten-book epic. That's the energy I'm chasing! Equal parts wonder, danger, and the kind of meticulous insanity that keeps lore spreadsheets open at 3 a.m.
Building this universe has been exhilarating, exhausting, and absolutely addictive. Every day feels like uncovering a lost civilization that also needs a marketing plan. One hour I'm designing a dragon's genealogy; the next, I'm deciding what kind of power converter could survive inside a volcano. It's half art, half archaeology, and entirely obsession.
The goal? To craft a world that feels ancient yet alive, layered with myth, machinery, and emotion, a place where readers don't just watch the story unfold; they move in, decorate, and start paying rent.
I'm not trying to write a single series. I'm trying to build a living, breathing multiverse of imagination; one that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with the great worlds that raised me (and you).
So if you like your fantasy epic, your science explosion-ey, and your authors mildly unhinged, welcome to The Convergence Cycle. Grab a map. Bring caffeine. We're just getting started.
"I don't create worlds because I want control. I create them because reality doesn't come with dragons... and that feels like a design flaw."
